Jorn Berkhout

Jorn Berkhout, born in Heerhugowaard on March 18, 2002, is a Dutch footballer playing as a defender for Jong AZ. His football journey began at VV Reiger Boys, and he joined AZ's youth academy at the age of 11. In 2019, at the age of 17, he signed his first professional contract with AZ, extending until 2022. Jorn made his professional debut for Jong AZ on October 2, 2020, in a thrilling 3-3 draw against MVV Maastricht. His moment arrived on May 16, 2021, when he made his first appearance for AZ's first team in a match against Heracles Almelo. Entering the game in the 83rd minute, it was the start of an exciting journey for the young talent.
