Omar Mekkaoui is a promising central defender who was born on 23 January 2005. Mekkaoui's football journey began in 2016 in the youth team of NAC Breda. He progressed through the youth academy, where he developed well. This led to invitations from the national teams of the Netherlands and Morocco. At the age of 16, he made his officiating debut for NAC Breda on 3 July 2021. Omar signed his first contract at NAC on 23 January 2022. Omar is a versatile player, who chooses position well and can read the game.
